Terms of Service

Last updated: August 5, 2026

Welcome to Faithline. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Faithline website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Faithline ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided proves to be inaccurate, not current, or incomplete.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

4.1 Subscription Plans

The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Current plans, pricing, and features are described on our pricing page at faithline.ai. We reserve the right to modify, add, or discontinue plans at any time with reasonable advance notice.

4.2 Billing & Payment

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select). Payment is processed through our third-party payment provider, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file for all applicable fees.

4.3 Automatic Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

4.4 Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, if you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at support@faithline.ai, and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis.

4.5 Price Changes

We may adjust pricing from time to time. If we change the price of your subscription, we will provide you with at least 30 days' advance notice. The new price will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following the notice period.

5. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new users. The duration and terms of the free trial will be specified at the time of signup. During the free trial, you will have access to the full features of the Service.

At the end of the free trial period, your access to premium features will be restricted unless you subscribe to a paid plan. We will not charge you automatically at the end of the trial unless you have explicitly opted in to a paid subscription. No credit card is required to start a free trial.

Free trial eligibility is limited to one trial per person or household. We reserve the right to revoke trial access if we determine, in our sole discretion, that a user is abusing the trial offer.

6. AI-Generated Content & Support Disclaimer

6.1 Nature of the Service

Faithline is an AI-powered platform designed to support your spiritual journey. The Service uses artificial intelligence to synthesize responses and insights based on the Berean Standard Bible and curated theological resources.

6.2 Not "Guidance" or Counseling

You expressly acknowledge that the Service provides educational and exploratory insights, not "spiritual guidance," pastoral care, or professional counseling.

6.3 Interpretive Limitations

AI-generated responses are produced through a synthesis of diverse scholarly perspectives. They do not represent infallible theological truth or the official stance of any specific denomination. You are responsible for independently verifying all insights against Scripture.

6.4 Synthetic Voice & Audio Content

Some audio in the Service — including narrated stories, devotionals, and read-aloud features — is generated using artificial-intelligence voice synthesis rather than recorded human narration, and is presented as AI-generated within the Service. The interpretive limitations described in Section 6.3 apply equally to such audio content. Bible chapter audio in the Bible reader is professionally recorded human narration and is not AI-generated.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these acceptable use provisions.

8. Intellectual Property & Synthesized Content

8.1 Ownership

The Service, including the "Emet" persona and all synthesized commentary, study notes, and apologetics modules, are the proprietary property of Faithline. The Service and its entire contents, features, and functionality are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

8.2 Content Provenance

Aside from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB) text, the resources within the Service are original, proprietary works synthesized from historical and contemporary scholarship. These resources are "inspired by" the collective body of Christian theology and do not constitute a verbatim reproduction of any single third-party work.

8.3 No "Original Source" Requirement

Because the Service utilizes a dynamic synthesis process to generate insights, Faithline does not maintain or provide "original manuscripts" or specific third-party source volumes for its AI-generated content. The value of the Service is in its unique, transformative curation of biblical concepts.

8.4 Scripture Attribution

Scripture quotations are taken from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), © Bible Hub — dedicated to the public domain. Visit bereanbible.com for more information.

The Faithline name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Faithline. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display through the Service, including your conversation inputs ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Faithline a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and store your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

We do not claim ownership of your User Content. We will not sell, share, or use your conversation data for advertising purposes. Your User Content may be processed by our AI systems to generate responses, but we do not use your individual conversations to train or improve general AI models.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with and relies on third-party services, including but not limited to:

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of any third-party services.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Faithline disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content generated by the AI system, including but not limited to biblical interpretations, spiritual guidance, or theological information.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Faithline, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00).

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Faithline, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of and access to the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any intellectual property, privacy, or proprietary right; or (d) any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party.

14. Termination

14.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by navigating to your account settings and selecting the option to delete your account, or by contacting us at support@faithline.ai. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

14.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, we may delete your account data, including conversation history, in accordance with our data retention policies described in our Privacy Policy. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including without limitation ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

15. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last revised.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the State of Delaware.

17. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Delaware, and the arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Faithline regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral, regarding the Service.
